Yin Yoga for Hip Opening with Brenda Swain
Join Brenda Swain for one, two or ALL three specialized Yin Yoga classes geared to open your hips!
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of Yoga incorporating principles of Chinese Medicine with postures that are held for longer periods of time. The sequence of postures are meant to stimulate the channels of the subtle body, known as meridians in Chinese Medicine and as nadis in Yoga.
This series of classes will focus on releasing tightness in the hips. We will use postures, breathwork, and affirmations to help process emotions which may be blocking the flow of energy (Prana/Chi) in the root and sacral chakras, as well as the meridians of the kidney, urinary bladder, stomach, spleen, liver, and gall bladder.
Sundays: Oct 15, 22 & 29 from 1:30-2:45 PM

-a Bolster, Blanket, and 2 Yoga Blocks
